René Wildhaber – Born to ride

René Wildhaber is a trained Swiss cycling guide and an important part of the biking experience on Flumserberg. Since the start of the "BikerBerg" initiative in 2013, he has served an advisory function and has been actively involved in the development of the range of mountain bike offers on Flumserberg. The former MTB professional is thus fulfilling his long-cherished dream. The opening of the BikerTrails in his home region was one of his personal highlights. In summer 2018, he opened the BikerSchool on Flumserberg.

THE MOUNTAIN FARMER'S SON WHO BECAME A MOUNTAIN BIKE PRO

BikerSchool Flumserberg

On a mountain bike or e-mountain bike, privately or in a group: The local bike pro makes time for his guests and students. Exchanging thoughts and ideas with like-minded people, improving your riding technique, listening to exciting insider’s tips and tricks ... All this and more awaits you at the BikerSchool Flumserberg. Fun and safety always take centre stage, of course.

By the way: René Wildhaber is also a state-certified ski instructor and, as such, works for Flumserberg Ski School in winter.

BikerFüchse camps

In addition to the BikerSchool, René Wildhaber has also launched "Wildi's Füchse" (Wildi’s foxes), a junior development programme for young bike enthusiasts between 11 and 16 years of age. In its original form, eight to ten select talents improved their biking skills in one weekend. Now, the former MTB professional offers his BikerFüchse camps during the summer and autumn school holidays.

A quick glance into what’s offered: All participants spend the night at the Alpenlodge Prod group accommodation, where they prepare the evening meal together. In addition to the downhill adventures on two wheels, a visit to the FLOOMZER summer toboggan run is included as well.

The next BikerFüchse camps are held on the following dates:

Autumn
  • Monday, 9 October and Tuesday, 10 October 2023
  • Thursday, 12 October and Friday, 13 October 2023
