What we offer

Work Location: Enjoy an exceptional workplace surrounded by mountains, often above the clouds, with spectacular views of the Churfirsten mountain range and Lake Walen. Whether it's a hike after work or skiing and sledding during your lunch break, the outdoors is right on your doorstep.

Commute: Our workplace is easily accessible by public transport and our own mountain railway network. During the winter season, we provide complimentary transportation from Flums. In the summer and shoulder seasons, employees can rent a parking space for CHF 100.00. Parking is available in Unterterzen, Oberterzen, Flumserberg Tannenheim, or Tannenboden and may also be used outside working hours.

Leisure: Depending on the duration of employment, employees receive an annual or seasonal Flumserberg pass, which may also be available for partners and family members. In addition, employees are entitled to a maximum of two complimentary Swiss Cableways guest cards, each including three free day passes valid at most cable car companies throughout Switzerland. We also provide a complimentary cross-country skiing pass for Flumserberg as well as discounted nationwide cross-country skiing passes.

Variety: With business divisions in mountain railways, hospitality, and sporting goods retail, we offer a wide range of opportunities for career changers as well as individuals approaching or already enjoying retirement who would like to continue working in the mountains on a part-time basis.

Meals: We contribute to our employees' daily meals by providing either a meal voucher worth CHF 5.00 per day, which is also accepted at our partner establishments, or discounted meals in our restaurants, where freshly prepared staff menus are served every day.

Social Benefits: We cover up to 60% of employees' contributions to the occupational pension scheme (BVG). For year-round employees, we continue paying full salary for up to 30 days in the event of illness or accident (BBF Gastro AG in accordance with the Swiss L-GAV Collective Labour Agreement). Seasonal employees benefit from extended insurance coverage if an illness or accident continues beyond the end of their seasonal employment.

Training & Development: We support employees with external education, professional development, and training courses. In addition, we offer a range of internal training programmes, including BLS-AED first aid, fire safety, IT security, and other professional courses.

Additional Benefits: Employees enjoy discounted FVP Half Fare and FVP GA travel passes, FVP day passes in combination with the FVP Half Fare Card, attractive discounts on purchases, rentals, and servicing at INTERSPORT Network Flumserberg, a personal Flumserberg Openair ticket, and many additional benefits through our partner companies.

Please note: Employee benefits vary depending on the type and duration of employment as well as the employing company. Eligibility for externally provided benefits is subject to the applicable terms and regulations.

TRAINING COMPANY FOR cable car PROFESSIONALS

Bergbahnen Flumserberg AG invests in young talent

Bergbahnen Flumserberg AG is an important employer in the region. The mountain railway company is strongly committed to the training of young cable car professionals.

Monitoring the electronics of the cable car, climbing onto a cable car support to check cable car rollers or advising guests. These are scenes from the everyday working life of young cable car professionals. At Bergbahnen Flumserberg, one apprentice is currently learning the profession of a cableway mechatronics technician EFZ. Across Switzerland, around 70 training companies provide well-trained young people for the cable car industry. The apprentices are taught the practical skills in the company where they are trained. The theoretical and inter-company knowledge is acquired at the Swiss Cableways Training Centre (AZ SBS) in Meiringen - or in Sion for French-speaking apprentices.

The apprenticeship positions for the start of training in August 2025 have been filled.
