There is a high risk of forest fires throughout the area. Open fires are strictly prohibited in forests and forested areas. Fires are permitted outdoors outside these areas, but only with appropriate caution.
From the mountain station of the Älplibahn, the path runs northwest to the Obersäss/Vilan junction, then right via the hiking trail to the road towards Obersäss.
