There is a high risk of forest fires throughout the area. Open fires are strictly prohibited in forests and forested areas. Fires are permitted outdoors outside these areas, but only with appropriate caution.
The route climbs with views over the Rhine Valley to the Vilterserberg and after a short descent to the castle overlooking Sargans. Along the Rhine dam, it goes via Giessenpark to Bad Ragaz.
