There is a high risk of forest fires throughout the area. Open fires are strictly prohibited in forests and forested areas. Fires are permitted outdoors outside these areas, but only with appropriate caution.
The ambitious route climbs past the Mapragg and Gigerwald reservoirs to the Walser village of St. Martin. It returns to Bad Ragaz via paved and gravel roads as well as hiking trails.
