There is a high risk of forest fires throughout the area. Open fires are strictly prohibited in forests and forested areas. Fires are permitted outdoors outside these areas, but only with appropriate caution.
Over the Vilterserberg, the route climbs to the idyllic Chapfensee. After a long descent, it goes back to Bad Ragaz via the castle overlooking Sargans.
