Characterised by pure, untouched nature Seebenalp

The plateau with the three mountain lakes is set in the famous summer and winter sports resort of Flumserberg, characterised by idyllic scenes and natural beauty. Set on the edge of the lake, the hotel is steeped in tradition and has a long history.

The three mountain lakes (Grosssee, Heusee and Schwarzsee) are located approximately 1620 metres above sea level. The imposing hotel originally stood on the edge of Lake Heusee but was torn down by an avalanche in 1898. In 1907, extensive work was carried out and the hotel was rebuilt in its current setting on the edge of Lake Grosssee in 1907. Run as a spa hotel, the building once accommodated asthma sufferers attracted to the area by the healthy mountain air and idyllic setting. Hotel Seebenalp still welcomes guests today. Boasting a large sun terrace, the restaurant offers a wide variety of meals and beverages. The hotel also provides perfect conditions for group events catering for up to 100 people.

In the summer, the natural surroundings beckon you on walks and hikes across green meadows, scattered with alpine roses and gnarled pine trees. The lakes entice you to take a swim, go rowing or fishing. Around the lakes, picnic areas and campfire sites await your visit.

Pike fishing is possible in Lake Grosssee near Seebenalp. Fishing licences can be obtained from Hotel Seebenalp. A rowing boat is also available for hire from the hotel.

In the winter, Seebenalp is right next to the ski slopes and is also a popular destination for winter hikes and snowshoeing.
