How we protect ourselves

The Federal Council has adopted measures to combat COVID-19 – these include legal requirements, such as bans as well as rules of hygiene and conduct. This is in the interest of public safety and to further curb the spread of COVID-19.

In order to protect guests as well as employees at Flumserberg, the following measures will be implemented.

Measures for protecting our guests and employees

THE PROTECTION AND SAFETY OF ALL GUESTS AND EMPLOYEES IS A TOP PRIORITY
  • a general distance obligation of 1.5 m applies; if the distance cannot be maintained in the queuing area, the mask obligation applies
    • children up to the age of 12 years and persons with a medical certificate are exempt from the obligation to wear a mask
  • guests are made aware of the hygiene and safety measures
  • the safety concept depends on guests and employees taking personal responsibility and being respectful of others
  • guests with symptoms of illness are asked to stay at home
  • download and activate the SwissCovid app to stop infection chains

  • the waiting and queuing areas in front of the cash desks are regulated by means of markings and guidance systems

  • there is a general obligation to wear masks in all enclosed lifts; the obligation to wear masks is waived on the chairlifts

  • consumption on terraces are possible without certificate
  • the safety distance of 1.5 metres between groups of guests, tables may not be moved
  • the following measures apply indoors:
    • there is a general obligation to wear a mask for guests aged 16 and above until the certificate has been checked (certificate & identity card)
    • only with a valid certificate the requirement to wear a mask indoors does not apply
    • staying indoors without certificate is not possible
    • using toilet facilities without certificate is possible when wearing a mask
  • the restaurants inform guests of applicable hygiene and safety measures
  • employees have been trained on the latest precautionary measures

  • group accomodations can only be rented by one group and therefore exclusively
  • guests are not allowed to visit in the house
  • for an overnight stay in the rooms there is no need for a certificate
  • groups of guests with more than 30 people can only access common rooms with a valid certificate
  • daily disinfection, hygiene and compliance with the distance regulations between check-in and check-out are the responsibility of the tenant
  • the general protection and hygiene regulations of the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH) are valid and the guests themselves are responsible for compliance with them
  • the operator disclaims all liability in the event of an incident
  • observing the requirements of the federal government and the Seilpark Schweiz safety concept for the climbing tower
  • employees and guests are required to wear protective gloves on the CLiiMBER climbing tower. They may bring their own gloves or purchase them on site
  • Bergbahnen Flumserberg informs guests of applicable hygiene and safety measures
  • employees have been trained in the handling of protective materials and have been provided with such materials
  • safety equipment, which is disinfected, dried and aired out after each use
  • observing the requirements of the federal government and the safety concept for the toboggan run
  • dividing the waiting area in front of the FLOOMZER toboggan run into 1.5 m segments with floor markings

  • employees have been trained in the handling of protective materials and have been provided with such materials
  • handles and seatbelt buckles in the vehicles are regularly cleaned and disinfected
  • vehicle seat and backrest surfaces are cleaned and disinfected daily
  • a curtain between guests and employees is provided to protect all parties during belt checks
  • there is an obligation to wear a mask in the INTERSPORT Network branches
  • maintain a distance of 1.5 m from other people
  • customer guidance systems must be followed
  • safety partitions are installed at cross-over spots
  • the rental equipment is cleaned or disinfected regularly
  • regular, 100% natural surface and room air disinfection with cold mist

Bergbahnen Flumserberg is assuming the financial risk of any officially ordered closure of the entire cable car and lift operation due to a pandemic or epidemic in winter 2020/2021 as well as in summer 2021.
