How we protect ourselves

The Federal Council has adopted measures to combat COVID-19 – these include legal requirements, such as bans as well as rules of hygiene and conduct. This is in the interest of public safety and to further curb the spread of COVID-19.

In order to protect guests as well as employees at Flumserberg, the following measures will be implemented.

THE PROTECTION AND SAFETY OF ALL GUESTS AND EMPLOYEES IS A TOP PRIORITY
  • there is a general distance requirement of 1.5 m, and a general mask requirement applies in enclosed indoor areas accessible to the public
    • children up to the age of 12 and persons with a medical certificate are exempt from the mask obligation
  • guests are made aware of the hygiene and safety measures
  • the safety concept depends on guests and employees taking personal responsibility and being respectful of others
  • guests with symptoms of illness are asked to stay at home
  • download and activate the SwissCovid app to stop infection chains

  • the following measures apply indoors:
    • a general 2G certificate obligation for guests from 16 years of age (certificate & identity card)
    • compulsory sitting during consumption
    • general obligation to wear masks indoors; exception for consumption while seated at a table
      • children and young people before their 12th birthday are exempt from the mask requirement
    • staying indoors without certificate is not possible
  • for dance events (e.g. GipfelSchlager), 2G+ applies indoors, 2G outdoors (at the Skichilbi in the Chrüz mountain restaurant, 2G applies with a ban on dancing)
  • on terraces without a certificate inlet, a distance regulation of 1.5 m from guest group to guest group applies
  • in the outdoor area, it is also possible to consume standing up, with a distance of 1.5 metres from guest group to guest group
  • the restaurants inform guests of applicable hygiene and safety measures
  • employees have been trained on the latest precautionary measures
  • the implementation of the protection measures is carried out by a security service on highly frequented days

  • group accomodations can only be rented by one group and therefore exclusively
  • guests are not allowed to visit in the house
  • for an overnight stay in the rooms there is a need for a certificate (2G)
  • daily disinfection, hygiene and compliance with the distance regulations between check-in and check-out are the responsibility of the tenant
  • the general protection and hygiene regulations of the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH) are valid and the guests themselves are responsible for compliance with them
  • the operator disclaims all liability in the event of an incident
Online reservation and faster access to the slopes
  • there is an obligation to wear a mask in the INTERSPORT Network branches
  • maintain a distance of 1.5 m from other people
  • customer guidance systems must be followed
  • safety partitions are installed at cross-over spots
  • the rental equipment is cleaned or disinfected regularly
  • regular, 100% natural surface and room air disinfection with cold mist
  • a capacity restriction applies in the INTERSPORT Network shops

Industry protection concept of ASMAS (Association of Swiss Sports Retailers)

SAFE SKIING AND SNOWBOARDING
  • to ensure the required traceability, each participant must register online before each ticket purchase, no later than before the start of the course
  • bookings in the online shop are recommended
  • only guests without symptoms may attend classes
  • children and adolescents aged 12 and over and adults must wear a mask
  • for children from 6 to 12 years of age, the SSSF recommends wearing a mask or a tube scarf (with filter)
  • children from 3 to 6 years of age are recommended to wear a tube scarf, which can be pulled over their mouth and nose
  • snow sports instructors are only allowed to teach without symptoms and are required to wear a face mask and gloves during the whole lesson
  • the group meeting points at the assembly points are exclusively for the purpose of meeting guests and collecting them in groups at defined, socially distanced intervals
  • parents/guardians bring the children and then leave the group meeting point
  • the children are welcomed by the snow sports instructors and assigned to the appropriate group meeting points
  • between group meeting points, there are rules to ensure that a minimum distance of more than 2 m is maintained
  • the exchange of material (e.g. sticks) and didactic aids is not permitted

Test centre Dr. Essig

Dr. Essig from Flums is offering testing facilities at the Flumserberg indoor swimming pool.

Which test procedures are offered?

  • PCR test
  • Antigen test

When can testing be done?

  • from Monday to Friday between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. (on weekends the COVID-19 test centre remains closed)

In addition, (booster) vaccinations with the Moderna vaccine are also possible.

Test centre Hotel Steinbock

Every Saturday evening you can get tested at the Hotel Steinbock from 20.30 to 22.00 at a cost of CHF 10.00.

Bergbahnen Flumserberg is assuming the financial risk of any officially ordered closure of the entire cable car and lift operation due to a pandemic or epidemic in winter 2021/2022 as well as in summer 2022.
