How we protect ourselves

The Federal Council has adopted measures to combat COVID-19 – these include legal requirements, such as bans as well as rules of hygiene and conduct. This is in the interest of public safety and to further curb the spread of COVID-19.

In order to protect guests as well as employees at Flumserberg, the following measures will be implemented.

THE PROTECTION AND SAFETY OF ALL GUESTS AND EMPLOYEES IS A TOP PRIORITY

 

  • there is a general obligation to wear a mask in indoor public places
    • children up to the age of 12 years and persons with a medical certificate are exempt from the obligation to wear a mask
  • there is a general obligation to wear a mask in outdoor areas open to the public, if social distancing is not possible
    • children up to the age of 12 years and persons with a medical certificate are exempt from the obligation to wear a mask
  • maintain a distance of 1.5 m from other people
  • guests are made aware of the hygiene and safety measures
  • guests with symptoms of illness are asked to stay at home
  • download and activate the SwissCovid app to stop infection chains

Safely steered and transported  at the Flumserberg winter sports resort
  • there is a general obligation to wear a mask in the queuing area and at all facilities
  • maintain a distance of 1.5 m from other people
  • waiting and queuing areas are regulated by means of markings, guidance systems and personnel
  • the safety concept depends on guests and employees taking personal responsibility and being respectful of others
  • employees have been trained in the handling of protective materials and have been provided with such materials
  • surfaces and rooms of cable car/lift facilities as well as public building parts are cleaned with cold mist and/or disinfectant
  • the cable cars have a maximum capacity of 2/3
    • 8 people at max in the 12-seater Prodalp-Express gondola
    • 5 people at max in the 8-seater BergJet as well as SeeJet gondola

Buy your ticket online and hit the slopes
  • there is a general obligation to wear a mask in the queuing area
  • the waiting and queuing areas in front of the cash desks are regulated by means of markings and guidance systems
  • 1- and 2-day ski/snowboard tickets can be bought in the webshop
  • the employees at the cash desks and in customer service wear a face mask
  • the interior areas of the cash desks and customer service are regularly disinfected and cleaned

  • there is a general obligation to wear a mask from on the terrace and in marked areas
  • the social distancing rule of 1.5 m must be observed when queuing

  • please take into consideration that you are only able to enter the restaurants for take away, after collecting the food, the restaurant has to be left
  • it is not allowed to eat and drink or stay inside the buildings
  • the usage of chairs and tables is prohibited in the canton of St. Gallen
  • advisors for guests in yellow masks are in charge of order and cleanliness and answer your questions
  • it is only allowed to open publicly accessible bathrooms, these are located right by the 8-seater BergJet cable car, at the Bergrestaurant Prodalp, Alprestaurant Panüöl and Panoramarestaurant Maschgenkamm
  • A same room reservation is allowed for a maximum of 10 people from 2 different households
  • A reservation with more than 10 people is possible if different families / couples are listed as a single group and the operator can provide separate accommodation accordingly
  • A complete address list (with surnames, first names, years of birth, home addresses, telephone numbers and e-mail addresses) must always be enclosed with the reservation.
  •  Sub-division into groups will be necessary for more than 10 people
  • Mixing is not allowed in the case of several groups
  • The dining tables will be fitted with plexiglass partitions, depending on the size of the group
  • Masks are compulsory in the generally accessible rooms
  • The sanitary facilities are to be cleaned and disinfected by the groups at least 3 times a day
  • The FOPH general protection and hygiene regulations are valid and the guest is responsible for complying with them.

Online reservation and faster access to the slopes
  • there is an obligation to wear a mask in the INTERSPORT Network branches
  • maintain a distance of 1.5 m from other people
  • customer guidance systems must be followed
  • safety partitions are installed at cross-over spots
  • the rental equipment is cleaned and disinfected after each use
  • regular, 100% natural surface and room air disinfection with cold mist

SAFE SKIING AND SNOWBOARDING

 

  • to ensure the required traceability, each participant must register online before each ticket purchase, no later than before the start of the course
  • bookings in the online shop are recommended
  • only guests without symptoms may attend classes
  • children and adolescents aged 12 and over and adults must wear a mask
  • for children from 6 to 12 years of age, the SSSF recommends wearing a mask or a tube scarf (with filter)
  • children from 3 to 6 years of age are recommended to wear a tube scarf, which can be pulled over their mouth and nose
  • snow sports instructors are only allowed to teach without symptoms and are required to wear a face mask and gloves during the whole lesson
  • the group meeting points at the assembly points are exclusively for the purpose of meeting guests and collecting them in groups at defined, socially distanced intervals
  • parents/guardians bring the children and then leave the group meeting point
  • the children are welcomed by the snow sports instructors and assigned to the appropriate group meeting points
  • between group meeting points, there are rules to ensure that a minimum distance of more than 2 m is maintained
  • the exchange of material (e.g. sticks) and didactic aids is not permitted
  • the staging of children's ski and snowboard races, day trips, events and provision of lunchtime supervision is not permitted at present

Recommendations of Swiss Snowsports

Bergbahnen Flumserberg is assuming the financial risk of any officially ordered closure of the entire cable car and lift operation due to a pandemic or epidemic in winter 2020/2021 as well as in summer 2021.
