Service offers for bikers on Flumserberg

A mountain for bike enthusiasts

Shopping, training, and overnight stays for bikers

Under the name of ”BikerBerg” (mountain for bikers), Flumserberg launched an initiative entirely dedicated to sports on two wheels. So it is not surprising that the Swiss holiday resort is excellently positioned in terms of services for bikers – from the BikerShop Flumserberg and BikerSchool Flumserberg to BikerCamping.

BikerShop Flumserberg

The starting point for the BlueSalamander BikerTrail is the Prodalp-Express valley station in Tannenheim. And that is also where the BikerShop Flumserberg is located and where customers and holiday guests from families to ambitious mtb pros meet. Why that is the case quickly becomes clear: It is the first national test centre for the brands BiXS, NS Bikes and iXS, and customers can thus always test and rent the latest bike models.

In addition to brand-new bikes, helmets and protectors are available for rent and for sale as well. The range of products at the BikerShop Flumserberg  also includes functional bike clothing and a lot of other accessories for mountain biking and cycling.

How about a 360-degree tour of the shop? Take a look at the BikerShop rental prices  or reserve your dream bike online right away. The INTERSPORT Network Flumserberg  makes this possible for you!

BikerSchool Flumserberg

René Wildhaber is a trained Swiss cycling guide and an important part of the biking experience on Flumserberg. Since the start of the “BikerBerg” initiative in 2013, he has served an advisory function and has been actively involved in the development of the range of mountain bike offers on Flumserberg. The former MTB professional is thus fulfilling his long-cherished dream. The opening of the BikerTrails in his home region was one of his personal highlights. In summer 2018, he opened the BikerSchool on Flumserberg.

On a mountain bike or e-mountain bike, privately or in a group: The local bike pro makes time for his guests and students. Exchanging thoughts and ideas with like-minded people, improving your riding technique, listening to exciting insider’s tips and tricks ... All this and more awaits you at the BikerSchool Flumserberg. Fun and safety always take centre stage, of course.

By the way: René Wildhaber is also a state-certified ski instructor and, as such, works for Flumserberg Ski School in winter.

BikerFüchse camps

In addition to the BikerSchool, René Wildhaber has also launched "Wildi's Füchse" (Wildi’s foxes), a junior development programme for young bike enthusiasts between 11 and 16 years of age. In its original form, eight to ten select talents improved their biking skills in one weekend. Now, the former MTB professional offers his BikerFüchse camps during the summer and autumn school holidays.

A quick glance into what’s offered: All participants spend the night at the Alpenlodge Prod  group accommodation, where they prepare the evening meal together. In addition to the downhill adventures on two wheels, a visit to the FLOOMZER summer toboggan run is included as well.

The next BikerFüchse camps are held on the following dates:

  • Monday, 12 July and Tuesday, 13 July 2021
  • Thursday, 15. July and Friday, 16 July 2021
  • Monday, 11 October and Tuesday, 12 October 2021
  • Thursday, 15 October and Friday, 16 October 2021

BikerCamping Flumserberg

Those who can't get enough of the BikerTrails on Flumserberg have the option of spending the night in their immediate vicinity – at the valley station of the 12-person Prodalp-Express cable car in Tannenheim, to be precise. Between the valley station and the après-bike bar "sonderBar", there are parking spaces for buses and vans. In addition, motorhomes up to a maximum length of 7.50 m can be parked behind the Flumserberg tennis court and in close proximity of the BikerShop Flumserberg. The infrastructural amenities of Aparthotel Edy Bruggmann are available to all campers.

Live it up on the trails, relax during some après-bike fun at the bar and, finally, walk no more than a few metres to your sleeping place: That is something you can only do on Flumserberg!
